Bee- 7 months

Baby Bee is 7 months old. How quickly she is changing and growing! She is a mover and a shaker. Never one to be content to sit still or not be exploring.

Likes:
Playing, playing, playing! Wants to be on her play mat with her toys
Barrel Rolling across the living room
Riding around in her stroller- straight chillin with toys attached
Chilled Milk- does not like it when room temp milk is offered. Diva.

Dislikes:
Trying new food- always acts like I'm trying to feed her cyanide at each new food introduced
Her crib. Hates it. Hates it. Hates it.
Being left alone in her bouncer so you could eat/wash your hair/cook/drop dead from exhaustion

New Skills:
She's now able to sit up unassisted (still spontaneously falls over sometimes)
Able to get from her back into a sitting position unaided
Scooting- she just started being able to inch closer and closer to what she wants

Eating Queen
Little Bee is now getting breakfast, lunch and dinner. She gets a little oatmeal with a scoop of fruit (peaches or pears) in the morning, then some cereal and veggies for lunch and cereal, veggies and fruit for dinner. She eventually eats whatever I offer but is very resistant to trying new foods. Her favorite is still the very first food we offered her- peas. She's an incredibly distracted eater- if James is doing dishes in the kitchen while she's having a bottle it's life ending.

Sleeping like a Big Girl
We have finally begun to transition Reflux Baby to her crib. This is our second attempt. Her reflux has been a ton better lately and her legs are about to hang out of her beloved Rock n Play. Bee tries to sleep on her side and wakes herself up. She rolls around, she sits up, she throws her paci, she plays with her lovie blanket. UGH. We're trying everything, including the dreaded sleep props to get her to go the f to sleep. This weekend we're going full on crib- she's only been napping in there during the week. Now James and I are both home and not working for the next 3 days. Bring on the 7th circle of hell, I'm ready.

We had to fight fight fight her to drop her 4th nap. Girl wanted to take 4 30-45 minute naps per day. Drove momma up the wall. Now she's down to 3 naps but liking to only take a 45 minute nap for her first two and then a longer late afternoon one. She's going down between 6:30 and 7 and will sleep until 6 to 6:30 am. Likes to get in her sleep during the moonlight hours. She's just too busy to sleep during the day.

Activities
The little miss has started swim lessons to help combat my hatred fear and distrust of pools and spas. I chickened out on the aggressive ISR swim school and started her at a family swim school. Right now we're working on blowing bubbles and gripping the side of the pool. She straight out loves the water which just adds to my heart palpitations.

She also spends quite a bit of time at home with her Daddy which is just lovely when she's not starting to teeth and driving him bonkers. Occasionally when James has a work conflict or mental health golf day she gets to go over to her sitters to play with the big kids. She loves to watch older kids and she's at a fun age right now where she can't get away from them yet.

Now that she's getting to be on the move we're going to have to baby proof. UGH. We're moving into a new house in two weeks so I'm begging her to stop the madness and not crawl until we're done moving. Lucky duck is getting her own playroom in the new abode so she's going to have her own space to destroy play.

Even though she whined at me all night last night while her daddy was gallivanting around the St. Mary's hospital in a flight suit I'm still blown away by her uber cool personality and watching her grow. I'm starting to think she looks less like her daddy an more like a traditional Collatz baby (which is my Mom's side of the family.) She's holding on to her dark hair and her eyes are taking on a grey color. She's got this milk white skin that she likes to scratch with her nails. It's yet to be seen if she'll develop the Ingram side with our spotted skin.
