November Family Milestones!

A lot has happened over the last 6 weeks! Goodness. We've had three birthdays, one vacation and one wedding anniversary.

James & Betsy
We've been married for nine years now! Woah. Doesn't seem like that long and it seems like longer all at the same time!

Trying to endure endless bouts of the same questions with both kids lately. "Is he sleeping good for you?" NO. "Is he awful small for his age?" Yes, why, yes I just noticed that! Brilliant! "Is Bee potty trained yet?" *sound of me banging my head into the wall* "Doesn't Bee want to be a big girl?"  *sound of me shrugging because I haven't slept enough to give a damn* "Woah, that hair is red. Just RED." I think I'll just pour more coffee and move on.

Fox
Oh sweet boy. You are still portable and love to be held. You are mischievous and a lightening fast crawler. You get so so so angry when your sister takes your toys or something like, say, the phone charger you've been chewing on is removed from your mouth.

Tiny Fox has been having lots of milestones as he turned a year old!

*Started pulling up at 10 months. Still no walking yet. Seems uninterested.
*He is 1!! Oh my sweet baby. He looks bigger already
*Moved up to 10th percent for weight and 36th for height. Sweet wee baby.
* Weaned off formula at 12 1/2 months. Hes now drinking almond milk out of his bottles for the time being.
*Still gets a 9:30 pm feeding and sometimes sleeps through the night. Sometimes tries to get up at 4:30 or 5 am. Sometimes cries seemingly in his sleep. Le sigh.
*Not a great eater. Will eat avocado, buttery noodles, mandarin oranges and some other table foods. Not really a great eater.
*Has learned and using the "all done" sign when done eating. Super pleased with himself and his sister likes to tell him "Show me all done Bubby!"

Bee
My baby girl is getting so big. She is starting to look like such a little girl. She is still into princesses and dolls. Attitude has been ok lately. We still have full body lay downs on the floor. Its amazing. Also amazing is getting head butted in Target so hard you see stars. As I was reading a book about strong willed children it cheered me up! Makes me think that she's not that bad and hopefully we can do this whole parenting thing while not going totally insane.

*Bee is 3! She is falling from being super tall to being in the 44th percentile for height. She still looks huge to me.
*Still loves dresses. Especially twirly dresses.
*Starting to be into dancing and dancers. Loves to watch the Nutcracker ballet. Says she wants to take ballet classes so we'll see how she does with me leaving her with a dance instructor. We all know how well gymnastics went.
*Started rough housing with her brother, likes to generally run his life, tattle on him or shove him with her foot. Favorite phrase for him "Nooooooooo Bubby, nooooooo."
*Started to sleep with a blanket after Mommy basically laid down the law that all 3 year olds do. Now at least using it on cold nights to cover her legs or as a pillow.
*Doing her small chores such as putting her plate by the sink and putting her milk cup in the fridge.
*Started swim lessons out of the baby pool and in the big pool right after her birthday. Not one tear shed. I was amazed.
*Does NOT like crowded gatherings of people she doesn't know. Crowds of friends at her birthday- Ok. Crowd of people she doesn't see frequently at Thanksgiving- not ok. This results in Mommy having a scarf in the shape of a 3 year old.

She is very excited for our upcoming trip to Disneyland! Can't wait to meet the princesses and go on the airplane. We'll see how many melt downs happen in the park. I'd be super excited if she threw herself on the ground in front of 18 or so people.
