| Watching the lions at the zoo |
Ok so admittedly this is a dual update because I'm tired and it's been a very busy last 2 months. We have the little bee who is insanely busy just being herself, James who is insanely busy working and generally being not home and then me- pregnant, exhausted and on duty all the time. I'm a very popular figure in my household and someone always needs something. And this is just with one kid on the outside, one on the inside and the husband- geez. Ok enough complaining.

| At the Palazzo in Vegas! |
The James has been working a bunch and rearranging his work schedule around things for the last month. This did allow us to take a child free vacation to Las Vegas with two of our friends! It was so nice after lots of single mommy time to get some time with just James. We ate a lot of food, walked around a ton and nearly suffered a heat stroke on
the surface of the sun the strip. James is looking forward to getting back to his normal schedule and not working day shifts for a while. Bee did ok while we were gone for 4 nights.... the end was a bit rough. She was thrilled to see Daddy but epically pissed at Mommy. Did not even want to hug me for a while. Then wouldn't leave my side and cried when I left the room for the next week.

And there is me! Almost 24 weeks pregnant and I feel enormous. Huge. I don't remember feeling this big this soon with my first. I'm also having a lot more pain with this second one as far as siatic back pain and "foot in the rib" pain as I call it. I was so active with my first pregnancy and this one is just not the same. It's also summer in Tucson so it's blazing hot so it's not like I actually want to be outside anyway. We were thrilled to find out we are having a baby boy! He's doing wonderful and is very active. I'm busy doing a big girl room for Bee and redoing the nursery for we-don't-have-a-name baby. The Tiffany blue walls just don't scream baby boy to me. James is being a good sport about all the re-decorating (cough, the money) and the re-painting (cough, start painting buddy.)

The little miss is doing fantastic. Apart from the toddler tantrum she's usually in good spirits. She's a good sleeper at night and a good eater. Mommy is a very popular figure in her life. We are BFF and we shall not be separated by the bathroom door, the dishes or any household chore of any kind. "Play with me" and "Playroom" are regular requests. It's hard to say no to such a sweet request so don't judge my messy house.
20/21 month bullet points
*Mostly down to one nap! This was our big 20 month transition. Not always happy about being awake and sometimes needs a 30 minute cat nap to get her sunny disposition back.
*Eating good for lunch and dinner-has decided that breakfast is not her choice thing to do in the morning. She takes after her momma in so many ways.
*Fav foods include- "fryfries" or french fries, avocados, ketchup, broccoli, beans, rice, sausage & fruit. Dairy is still a no and meat is still mostly vile.
*Talking in phrases "Mommy do it," "I do it," and starting to use her little voice to boss us around. She can count up to 6 and seems to start to be associating it with a quantity.
*She just popped out her bottom canine two teeth (at the same time thank you for that) and we are just waiting on those top eye teeth to fill out the smile.
*Little bit of separation anxiety. Doesn't want to go somewhere and be left. Sorry church nursery workers and baby sitters. She can be placated with goldfish and a pacifier if dire. She does better with her regular family care givers though.

Bee loves boats, trains, planes and helicopters. We took a trip down to St. David to see Daddy and his helicopter. It was
epic. She got to see him land the helicopter and took her to touch it, sit in it and see it up close. She didn't show any fear as she watched him land and pelt us with dirt because we were standing too close to the landing pad. Even when we went inside she wanted to go outside every 10 or so minutes to see it. Make sure it didn't fly off unattended. She has several toy helicopters (go figure...) and she flys them around the playroom. She loves to watch planes at her Nana's house- who just happens to live in the flight path of the local air force base.
Now on to August! Room switches, trips to visit Uncle Jeremy and more summer fun- let's go!
