Loves it
So James and I have been in Tucson for the last week..... Yea!
Our main goal was to find a place to live in Tucson for when we come back in the fall part time. I hate looking for places to live. Hate, hate, hate. It's summer time so it's hot and I was still in my work clothes (read: heels). But it's gotta get done.
We looked at our first apartment that looked just lovely online- right location, right size and most importantly right price. We arrive and it looks a little more shall we say dated than we had expected. We go on the tour anyway. They show us a tiny, tiny apartment that smells like a mix of curry and smoke. Um. No thanks.
Our next stop was some apartments that they tried to turn into condos and well, that just didn't work. Hello.... we live in Tucson... not Chicago. So they were trying to lease those suckers for like almost a house payment. We did the house payment thing and that's why we sold the house. No thanks.
We decide to do one last one that day- the apartment complex I lived in when we started dating (awww nostalgia). It's in a nice area and we're familiar with the apartments but it was a little further than we wanted away from the airport. We headed in a did a tour and got prices. Not only was it below our price cap, we also wouldn't have to pay a pet deposit or any application fee. *claps hands with glee* We decided to submit an application.
After faxing in our proof of income we hear from them that we were approved and since we had such immaculate credit- her words, not mine- we don't even have to pay a security deposit. *Gasp* No freaking way. So we move in with no money down, well that's great. But to hear our credit called immaculate makes these short selling, dual state livers jump with glee.
So we are very excited to have found a place and so cheaply. I'm excited to get a lot of our stuff out of storage and have some space of our own.
